Hey There!
I'm Lori Berquist

Come on in - take a break from the stress of the day, and experience the beauty of God's creation straight from the Father's heart to you!

My interest in art began at a very early age, when I was about 9 years old. My older brother took an art correspondence course and I copied some of his lessons. However, as I grew older, I had no confidence in my abilities. In my late 20's I discovered an old pen/ink/watercolor that a good friend of mine had framed and hung on a wall in her home. When I saw that, I realized I really did have talent.

Not long after seeing that old picture, I had the privilege to study under one of Minnesota's premier watercolorist's, Rose Edin. That began my love for watercolors and I was able to take additional workshops throughout the years.
Since retiring, I've developed my skills in oil and acrylic as well as watercolor. I have sold several commission pieces in recent years and begun teaching as well. I am also a Grumbacher Certified Watercolor Instructor.

I currently reside in my native central MN with my hubby, Gary, who has been by my side for over 42 years. We've raised two lovely daughters, both married, who live too far away in Oklahoma and Mississippi.
They each own a cat so at least we have "grand-kitties" if not "grand-kiddies".

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge."
Psalm 19: 1-2

Over the years I've seen Lori's work go from "good to great" and am in awe of the professional touch she achieves in each medium. Her faith and love are reflected in each painting she does.

When I see Lori's paintings, I feel a sense of peace and calm, plus they remind me of the beauty of God's creation. I love that she captures a variety of subjects and brings them to life in her own special way.
